United Breweries, the Beer maker which today launched its malt-based beverage 'Kingfisher Buzz' in Delhi, would introduce different flavours in its ready-to-drink (RTD) product. The company anticipates Kingfisher Buzz to have a pan India presence in the coming 12 to 18 months and is working on new flavours as well.
At prsent, the company has introduced Kingfisher Buzz at few markets of Mumbai, Pune, Goa and Banagaluru. Kingfisher Buzz will be in direct competition with Bacardi Breezer, which is a market champion in the sector with around 95 per cent market share and comes in eight flavours. They believe that the RTD market would grow. Presently this is anticipated to be around 2.5 million cases and is growing with single digit, said Samar Singh Sheikhawat, UBL Senior VP Marketing added. Kingfisher Buzz is at present available in two flavours - berry and lychee.
This morning saw UBL share price rolled below 1 per cent. The stock opened at Rs. 961.30 as compared to its previous closing at Rs. 962.30.
