Tata Power has appointed 3 independent directors namely, Vibha Padalkar, Anjali Bansal, and Sanjay Bhandarkar on its board which will come into effect from 14th Oct, 2016.
Tata Power mentioned in the statement last day that the appointments are in terms of Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015,
While Bansal is a Senior Advisor to TPG Capital (TPG), a top global private equity fund based in Mumbai, Padalkar is Executive Director and CFO at HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company (HDFC Life). Bhandarkar is the former MD of Rothschild's Investment Banking operations in India.
The appointment of all the three independent directors was recently sanctioned at a Board meeting. Tata Power along with its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities has an installed gross generation capacity of 9,432 MW. Its presence is spread in all the sectors of the power sector namely fuel security and logistics, generation like thermal, hydro, solar and wind, transmission, distribution and trading.
After WREPL (Welspun Renewables Energy) acquisition, the installed gross generation capacity would be 10,573 MW.The first half of 19th Oct trading session saw Tata Power share price trading at Rs.78.80, up by 1.61 per cent.The stock opened at Rs. 77.65, touching the day’s high and low at Rs. 78.95 and Rs.77.65.
Tata Power share price touched its new 52 week high value few days back on 10th Oct ’16 at Rs. 82 while the 52 week low is seen at Rs. 55.00 on 12th Feb ‘16 . The Average Daily Movement of the stock is 2 and its average volume for last 20 days is 4659167. The stock yields 4.37 per cent monthly returns. The market cap of the company amounts to Rs. 21298.96 (Cr) and has a book value of Rs.54.60.
