Tata Motors to raise Rs 500 crores via NCDs


Tata MotorsAccording to a latest update, Tata Motors is planning to offer the fifth series of its unsecured, rated, listed, redeemable, non-convertible debentures (NCDs) aggregating to Rs 500 crores. The Company will be holding a meeting in the regard of its duly constituted committee of the Board on 18th October, 2016.
The above issuance is pursuant to the approval of the Company’s shareholders passed vide special resolution at the 71st Annual General Meeting of the Company held on 9th August, 2016 and the Board of Directors resolution passed at its meeting held on 26th August, 2016.
Tata Motors is India's largest automobile company. Through subsidiaries as well as associate companies, Tata Motors has operations in the markets like UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands.
On the market front Tata Motors share price is closed at Rs 544.00 apiece on NSE, down by 3.21 per cent or 18.05 points approximately. The share price opened at Rs 556.90 from a previous closing of Rs 562.05. The intraday high and the intraday low of the share today were Rs 556.90 and Rs 537.00 respectively. In today’s trading session a total of 95,10,827 shares of the Company aggregating to a total amount of Rs 51,861.59 lacs. The Free Float Market Cap of the Company is Rs 1,05,397.22 crores.
