SML Isuzu share price Subdues on fall in September Sale

SML Isuzu share price traded on a subdued note on Monday as comparison to a rally in other auto stocks. The commercial vehicle maker reported a fall of 5.3 per cent in sales on a year-on-year (Y-o-Y) basis in the September sales.

On Saturday, SML Isuzu announced that it sold 977 units in the month of September as compared to 1,032 units during the same month previous year. On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, SML Isuzu's sales fell 9.7 per cent as SML Isuzu sold 1,082 units in the month of August.

As of 11:46 a.m., SML Isuzu share price traded 0.4 per cent higher at Rs.1,274, underperforming the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Auto index which was up 2.15 per cent. It opened at Rs. 1258.05 from a previous closing of Rs. 1258.05 on the NSE today. As of now, the day’s high of the stock stands at Rs.1272.70 while the day’s low reads at Rs.1239. The traded volume stood at 33475 shares with a traded value of Rs.418.55 lac.

SML Isuzu is majorly owned by the Sumitomo Corporation, Japan, and Isuzu Motors, Japan that hold 44 per cent and 15 per cent shareholding in the company, respectively.
