Tata Motors Global Sales Rose 16% in August

Tata Motors disclosed a 16 per cent hike in global sales at 86,288 units, which includes Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) vehicles, in August. The company is reported to have sold 74,639 units in August 2015, Tata Motors mentioned in a filling. In the passenger vehicles category, global sales is noted at 56,104 units last month as compared to 44,956 units during the corresponding period a year ago, up 25 per cent. Sales of luxury brand Jaguar Land Rover increased 28 per cent to 42,260 units in August versus 33,103 units in the same month last year. Sales of commercial vehicles stood flat at 30,184 units from 29,683 units in the year-ago month.
The afternoon trade saw Tata Motors share price trade below 4%. The stock opened at Rs.353 as compared to its previous closing at Rs.363.25. The stock touched the days high and low at Rs. 360.00 and Rs.345.00.  Till 2.00PM around 15,62,722 shares were traded in the counter with a traded value of Rs. 5,529.69 lacs, as per NSE. On 7th September, Tata Motors share price touched its 52 week high value at Rs. 378.15.
The lower price band of the share is Rs. 326.95 and the upper price band is Rs. 399.55. The 52 week low value of Tata Motors share price is seen at Rs. 200.20 on 29TH Sept ’15. The Average Daily Movement of the stock is 12.70 and its average volume for last 20 days is 8605064. The stock yields 11.35% monthly returns and has the PE ratio of 18.50.
