Reliance Defence Share Price sees Bloodbath Post Q1 Results


Reliance DefenceOn 10th September 2016, Reliance Defence and Engineering Ltd announced its quarterly results for June 2016. With the drastic drop in the net profit, Reliance Defence share price dropped almost 15 per cent in today’s trading session.
For the quarter ended 30th June 2016, the company reported revenue of Rs 70.34 crores against Rs 106.96 crores for the quarter ended 30th June 2015. The other income of the Company for Q1FY17 is 3.84 and the total income is Rs 74.18 crores.
The net profit of the dropped significantly from Rs 102.44 crores for the quarter ended 30th March 2016 to Rs (134.50) crores for the quarter ended 30th June 2016.

In a Nutshell
  • The company has posted a net loss of Rs 134.5 crores for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to net loss Rs 167.3 crores for the quarter ended 30th June, 2015.
  • The total income has decreased from Rs 112.8 crores for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 to Rs 74.2 crores for the quarter ended 30th June, 2016.
  • The EPS of the Company dropped from Rs 1.39 for the Q4FY16 to Rs (1.83) for the Q1 FY17.

On the Market Front
Reliance Defence share price closed at Rs 55.40, down by 14.78 per cent. The intraday high of the share was Rs 65.00, from where it dropped to make an intraday low of Rs 54.60.A total of 3,52,55,665 shares of the Company have exchanged hands on the counter of NSE today.
