Shalimar Paints Share Price Tanks Post Fire News In Its Plant


Shalimar PaintsShalimar Paints share price dropped more than 11 per cent in the early trading hours of Monday (21st November 2016). 
Yesterday (20th November, 2016) at a plant of Shalimar Paints Limited Company at Gonde Dumala village in Igatpuri taluka of the district, a worker has suffered from injuries after a fire broke out.
According to the local police, this incident occurred at around 9:30 PM last night and soon spread across the entire plant. One worker, who has been identified as Vishvambhardas Yadav received burn injuries and was taken to Nashik civil hospital. Fire tenders were rushed to the spot and it was contained from spreading any further, an official of Wadivhare police station said.
Locals who are residing in the nearby areas of the factory premises were soon shifted to safer places as a part of precautionary measure, while vehicular movement on the busy Mumbai-Agra national highway was kept on a hold for safety for sometime, the officer said.
The exact cause behind this sudden fire is yet to be ascertained, he officer added.
Shalimar Paints share price sustained a massive fall of more than 12 per cent in Monday’s trading session after the news spread in the market. At 12.15 PM, the share price is trading at Rs 125.50, down by 11.81 per cent or 16.80 points. So far a total of 1,02,312 volume of the share have exchanged hands on the counter of NSE reaching a total value of Rs 134.11 lacs.
From a previous closing of Rs 142.30, Shalimar Paints share price opened at Rs 138.65 this morning to reach an intraday low of Rs 122.25. The intraday high for today is Rs 140.80.
