Hero Sells Over 6 Lacs Bikes For 3rd Consecutive Month


Hero MotoCorp LtdHero MotoCorp had a record breaking festive season as the Indian two wheeler maker registered over 6 lacs sales for the third month consecutively. The company dispatched a total number of 6,63,153 units in the month of October, after retailing 6,16,424 units in August of this year and 6,74,961 units in September this year.
The two wheeler giants recorded double digit growth this festive season and had also crossed over a million units by the auspicious day of Dhanteras. The company also announced that as the festive season heads towards completion, Hero's dealer inventories have come back to normal levels.
The year 2016 has been particularly positive for Hero MotoCorp as the company sold more than 6 lacs two wheeler in just five months throughout the calendar year. As a matter of fact, the company recorded its best ever performance in a quarter during the July-September 2016 quarter, having retailed 18,23,498 units. A healthy growth of about 15.8 per cent has been reported when compared to the same quarter in 2015.
A good monsoon supported resurgent demand for two wheelers in the rural areas has contributed to Hero's positive sales this festive season. Hero Motocorp has also had two launches this year including the new Splendor iSmart 110 as well as the Achiever 150. The Maestro Edge continues to be a popular one for Hero ever since its launch last year.
Hero share price is currently trading at Rs 3,349.95, 0.69 per cent or 23.05 points. A total of 51,404 shares of the company have been traded on the counter of NSE aggregating to a total amount of Rs 1,714.06 lacs.
