Berger Paints Q2 Net Profit Can Rise 32%


Berger PaintsBerger Paints’, headquartered in Kolkata disclosed that their second quarter profit will hopefully jump 32 per cent Y-o-Y to Rs 117.5 crore on overall growth. Lower depreciation and finance cost CAN also support bottomline. As per analysts, revenue during the quarter is likely to increase 12 per cent to Rs 1,309 crore as compared with Rs 1,167 crore in year-ago period. EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization) may increase 26 per cent year-on-year to Rs 194 crore and margin may rise 120 basis points to 14.8 per cent in Q2.
High dealer buying may have seen ahead of Diwali, despite heavy rains may have impacted volume growth. Berger Paints had reduced prices in decorative business in Q4FY16, so realizations may be lower by 2-3 per cent. Its closest peers Asian Paints & Kansai Nerolac reported double digit volume growth in decorative sector.
On 2nd Nov, Berger Paints share price closed below 0.25 per cent at Rs. 260.10. The stock was trading at Rs. 261.50 and touched the days high and low at Rs. 261.50 and Rs. 255, respectively.
