Nation’s largest global flexible packaging solution establishment said that the anti-counterfeiting and brand protection solutions that were exhibited by the Holography Business Vertical of Uflex in point, more than 1,600 visitors skirted the pavilion out of which around 600 have been classified as active queries.
Uflex share price opened at Rs.245 and closed 1.82 % lower at Rs.239.85 on NSE today.
Pankaj Bhasin, executive vice president, Holography Business said that they had successfully closed several transactions and were in touch with many more potential clients to take them on board.
The highest number of enquiries for brand protection solutions flooded in from Dubai, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Oman. This was followed by the Latin American countries, according to Uflex. The company also reported that the African subcontinent and CIS countries also showed strong interest for anti-counterfeiting solutions which keep the spurious and fake at bay.
The products displayed at the event that have garnered much interest are Holographic thermal lamination film and hot and cold stamping foils, which are widely utilised for printing, packaging and textile industry, and recombined holograms.
In a recombined hologram, a variety of anti-counterfeiting features are clubbed onto one holographic strip providing unmatched brand protection against plagiarism. Thus, a recombined hologram can have unigram, QR code, 2D barcode, nano-texting, Fresnel lens, 3D modulated depth effect, Guilloche Pattern, embossed text effect, and many more features on ‘one’ single strip.
Bhasin said that with counterfeiting costing over 2 per cent of the global economic output or close to 1.8 trillion dollars per annum, the demand for brand protection solutions is at an all-time high. He added that they were doing all that it took to tap this demand. He further explained that holography was a specialized business that required cutting edge technology for protecting the brand equity of clients. He concluded that by having full grip on technology and innovation they had declared a full-fledged war against counterfeiting with more and more corporations approaching them for brand protection solutions.
