Nifty to Open Flat Today After Falling From 8300 Levels

Indian Market Outlook: Nifty Futures opened gap down at 8248 yesterday and fell further by 85 points after making a high of 8250 and low of 8164 to finally close at 8183. FIIs have turned buyers in the month of December to the tune of Rs. 249.4 Cr. Emerging markets are trading flat today as reflected in the Morgan Stanley Emerging Markets Index which is trading at its previous day's low. Major support for Nifty Future stands at 8076 and it might face a resistance at 8294 as per Dynamic Levels. US FED meeting is set to start today and will announce its rate decision on 15th Dec at 00:30 hrs IST. 3 month US treasury yield trades at 0.52 indicating that the markets have already factored in a 25 bps rate cut.

Nifty Future is opening at 8183 as per SGX Nifty at 8:15 am IST, at its previous close.

FII Activity for the year 2016

The net FII's figure in cash market has turned marginally positive amounting to Rs. 249.40 Cr, after heavy Nov Selling figure, which was Rs. 19981.5 Cr

Open Interest Index F&O and Cash Segment Activity:

In cash segment, last trading day, FII have sold shares worth Rs.94.50 Cr and DII sold shares worth Rs. 266.20 Cr. A combined sell of Rs. 361 Cr. For this expiry, FII and DII together are net buy worth Rs. 582.50 Cr.

In Index Options, last trading day, FII have sold 15667 contracts, below its 1 year average of 18280 contracts. Pro have sold 50469 contracts, above its 1 year average of 27670 contracts. Combined there has been a net sell of 66136 contracts, above its 1 year average of 39000 contracts. For the current expiry, FII and Pro combined are net buyers of 111070 contracts.

In Index Futures, last trading day, FII have sold 1152 contracts, below its 1 year average of 9706 contracts. Pro have bought 323 contracts, below its 1 year average of 4903 contracts. Combined there has been a net sell of 829 contracts below its 1 year average of 9401 contracts. For the current expiry, FII and Pro combined are net buyers of 31961 contracts.


International Market Morning Update:
Today morning, in Asian markets Nikkei is trading flat. Other emerging peers like Jakarta and Philippines are trading down 0.4% and 0.8% from their respective closes yesterday. A broader indicator of emerging markets, MSCI Emerging Markets Index is trading flat near its previous day low.

S&P 500 in America and Dax in Germany are holding strong with S&P trading at 2257 near its all time high of 2270 made yesterday.
